Rose Matharu

Articling Student

Rose joined Winright Law as an articling student in 2026, with experience in corporate and commercial matters, litigation, and client-focused legal services. Having earned a Juris Doctor from the University of Windsor Faculty of Law and graduated in the top 10% of the class, Rose brings a strong academic foundation and a keen interest in navigating complex legal and business matters.

Before joining the firm, Rose gained in-house legal experience at a large oil and gas company, supporting complex business transactions, corporate governance, and a broad range of administrative matters. Experience drafting and reviewing commercial agreements, researching regulatory issues, and assisting in large-scale disputes strengthened an interest in business law while developing an appreciation for providing pragmatic legal solutions tailored to clients’ needs.

At the University of Windsor, Rose gained practical legal experience while fulfilling a passion for serving local communities through work with Community Legal Aid and Pro Bono Students Canada, assisting low-income clients with a variety of legal matters. Rose also contributed to legal scholarship as a copyeditor for the Canadian Bar Review. Outside of work, Rose enjoys spending time outdoors and learning new recipes.
